I’m at the Web 2.0 Summit in San Francisco….what’s that all about?
Well the lucky few of us (1000) got to the Web 2.0 summit, while apparently over 5000 hopeful participants were unable to register for a place. Ironic that if Web 2.0 is about inclusive collaboration driven by the user (the architecture of participation) that this was to be such an exclusive event.
The Web 2.0 Summit focuses on emerging business and technology developments that utilize the Web as a platform and defines how the Web will drive business in the future. Now that the Web has become a robust platform with countless innovations driving its ongoing development, widespread disruptions in traditional business models are well underway.
